Michail Antonio has offered Chelsea and Manchester United real hope of signing him by admitting he’s not sure if he will extend his stay at West Ham United.
The 26-year-old has become a key part of Slaven Bilic’s side since
joining from Nottingham Forest in 2015 and was even called-up to Sam
Allardyce’s first and only England squad.
He’s scored an impressive eight goals in 24 Premier League matches this
season, while providing three assists for his team-mates and it’s no
surprise that some of the country’s top clubs are interested in signing
him.
Despite big clubs sniffing around him, Antonio has insisted his head
has not been turned, however, he would not commit to putting pen to
paper on a new deal.
‘Right now, nothing is really happening on the contract talks,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘We’ll just see how things go. At the moment my head is not being
swayed in any way. I just want to play my football and whatever happens
happens.’
When asked explicitly whether he would sign a new contract, he replied: ‘We’ll see.’
